Setelah satu tahun lamanya berada di bangku kelas enam, akhirnya Greg dan Rowley (Robert Capron) menginjak tahun ajaran yang baru yaitu kelas tujuh, alias SMP kelas satu. Synopsis :

Masa peralihan dari anak-anak ke masa remaja memang adalah saat-saat sulit buat kebanyakan anak. Masa-masa ini pula yang biasanya akan menentukan kehidupan mereka ketika menginjak masa remaja. Seperti juga kebanyakan anak, Greg Heffley (Zachary Gordon) juga mengalami masa-masa sulit ini. Apalagi Greg bukan termasuk anak yang cool di antara teman-temannya.
